Ho-Ho-Hoping put a gift under the tree

The repetitive holiday songs and festive newspaper ads tell me it's nearly Christmas. Oy.
The season somehow snuck up on me this year. Maybe it's because my family didn't celebrate Christmas at all last year because of the 15 simultaneous blizzards. That's proving to be a good thing because everyone still has last year's gifts to give, which means saving money. I'm a fan of that.
Devin's family is cutting back on the gift-giving this year too. It's going to be so nice to just get together and not have to purchase something for everyone.
This time of year is a little rough because not only is it Christmas, but my birthday is about a week before and our anniversary lands a little over a week later. Devin's been on top of the gifts this year and continues to remind me that he got me things that I should want to open right now (even though he won't let me).
I still have no gift for him, although it's in the works. I've at least been thinking about it.
Here's to having a couple more weeks to cross off the wish list and hoping the delivery men out there are prompt, unlike me. *Cheers*
